Remove all existing carpet and resilient flooring at areas shown as in scope. All padding below carpets to be removed; carpeted areas require a powered flooring scraper and a full skim coat and sand. Some areas may require two coats of skim. Furniture removal by contractor. Coordinate schedule with owner. Provide new wall base at all areas of new flooring. Provide transition strips at juncture of dissimilar flooring at restrooms, utility rooms, stairs, elevators and at any existing resilient or tile flooring to remain in areas out of scope. Touch up paint inside all dwelling units at areas of baseboard removal and replacement. Match existing wall color. Contractor to coordinate with UNH plumbers for removal and reinstallation of dishwasher and toilet with flooring installation.
