Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor project staff provide behavioral health intervention and support to children who have experienced a traumatic event, as either victims or witnesses. Contractor staff provide appropriate and timely response and assessment for youth exposed to stress or traumatic events and referral to other appropriate service(s) to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of the traumatic response. It is the expectation that services will improve individual and family functioning, build resiliency, and address the impacts of traumatic response for both youth and for the community. These trauma intervention services provide screening, evaluation, and referral. Referrals are accepted from the community, schools, law enforcement, partner agencies or the family may selfrefer. This is not considered to be a crisis or acute response service. Youth requiring an immediate response should be referred to the DPBHS Mobile Response and Stabilization Service (MRSS) or 988. Currently trauma services delivered outside of the city of Wilmington do not require clinicians to be on call 24/7. However, bidders may propose this enhanced level of support. Bidders must describe how “after-hours” contacts will be managed or how individuals reaching out after hours will be directed.
