Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall submit a plan for how they intend to sequence the construction, disinfection and flushing on this project, prior to the start of work on this project, and must get approval from the Lincoln Water System and Lincoln Transportation and Utilities representatives prior to doing so. It is suggested that the Contractor progress as follows, however: 1. Install the proposed water mains in all streets with the exception of 66th Street. Install the temporary plug on north leg of the tee at Station 407+39.64. 2. Make the connections at Taylor Park Rd. & Haverford Dr. and Eastridge Dr. and “O” St. and install temporary plugs on existing mains and re-energize. 3. Test, disinfect and flush all mains through the temporary and proposed hydrants shown on the plans. The highest point for both runs will be at “L” St. & Lyncrest Dr. 4. Transfer services from the old main to the new mains. 5. Make the connections at all side streets with the connection on 66th St. north of Taylor Park Rd. being last. 6. Isolate the existing mains, remove fittings and abandon the old mains where called for on the plans, if not already completed
