Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Manchester School District intends to award multiple contracts to qualified bidders presenting the most advantageous proposal responses for language access services. The district seeks a provider of world language interpretation and translation services to support language access for the district’s students and families with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). The need for these services exists across all twenty (20) Manchester School District buildings; as well as in community spaces during school district sponsored events. Occasional home visits with school staff may also be required. Access to World Language Interpreters via phone, video, or in-person: The Manchester School District must be able to access on-demand interpreters over the phone, through video sessions and in-person. • On-site Interpreting: Interpreters must have demonstrated experience providing interpretation services in a variety of settings to include, but not limited to school-based meetings, in home visits with student and families, and school events located in either public, private or community facilities. Interpreters must be capable of interpreting for individual, small and large group settings. The District retains the right to request a specific interpreter for on-site service. • Over-the-Phone Interpreting: The District requires language access vendors to provide OPI services 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Telephone interpretation services must be accessible to families through a dedicated toll-free phone number. • Video-Remote Interpreting: The District must be able to access interpreters through a variety of web-based programs or through a common app provided by the vendor.
