Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work specified under this section provides for the rehabilitation of an existing sewer pipeline using the Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) method. The trenchless process consists of installing an 8" x 6.0mm or equivalent pipe liner inside an existing 8-inch sewer (Host Pipe) from manhole to manhole. The Cured-in-Place Pipe shall be prepared and tested by the Contractor in accordance with ASTM F1216. When installed, the liner will be a seamless, joint-less, solid wall liner that tightly conforms to the interior contours of the original host pipe. The liner shall be continuous from manhole to manhole with no seams or joints. Required service connections shall be reinstated using closed circuit television and remotely controlled cutters. The object is to restore the structural condition of the sewer and to eliminate infiltration from entering the lined section of sewer.
