Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide monthly herbicide treatment to control emergent weeds along designated sidewalks, roadsides, and landscape areas and all other incidental work (including traffic islands and tree wells) as necessary to satisfactorily provide the services as outlined or implied in the Specifications. Please refer to the attached list of areas. The quantities stated in the “Contract and Proposal” are estimates and it is the responsibility of the Contractor to visit the site and verify the quantities. All designated sidewalks, roadsides, and landscape areas will receive herbicide applications once per month during May, June, July, and August or four (4) times per any of the identified fiscal year periods. • Provide herbicide treatment to woody vegetation up to 6-8’ in height along Jepson Brook and Hart Brook in Lewiston. Please refer to the attached maps. Locations will include inside the fence, along the full length of each canal, and 5-10’ along the outside of the fence of each canal where necessary. This shall be coordinated with the City Arborist and done when water levels in the canal are at their lowest. This work will require an Aquatic License as required by the Maine Bureau of Pesticide Control. • Provide prices and perform work as required for trouble spots identified throughout the summer. This will typically be additional landscape areas, poison ivy, or invasive plants such as knotweed and bittersweet. • Provide prices and perform work as requested within the City canal system, such as, along Canal St and Oxford St.
