The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) seeks to accelerate the work of ensuring leaders are “day-one ready” and looks for existing preparation programs that offer scalable approaches to world-class leader preparation. The Department seeks partners who can create innovative and results-driven approaches to educational leadership training. Research shows that principals have a bigger impact on factors for school success than previously thought. A recent meta-analysis finds that replacing a below-average elementary school principal with an above-average principal would increase annual student learning in math and reading by almost three months.
