Specifications include, but are not limited to: Upon receipt of approved permit, the Contractor shall construct the concrete pad and associated items within thirty (30) calendar days, in accordance with the following specifications: A. Each concrete pad shall consist of five (5) inches of concrete poured on top of a five (5) inch foundation of crushed rock/gravel. B. Concrete mix shall be Class SI concrete conforming to the latest edition of the Illinois Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining a “delivery ticket” from the supplier of concrete, and providing same to Pace upon request, to document the concrete meets Pace’s specification. Off-site concrete testing is not required. C. Metal reinforcement bar (re-bar) or wire mesh is not required unless required by the permitting authority. D. The slope of the pad, in the direction parallel to the roadway should be the same as the slope of the roadway itself, to the maximum extent practicable; the slope perpendicular to the roadway shall be sloped for water drainage but only up to a maximum of 1:48 (2%) for ADA compliance. E. The Contractor is responsible for maintaining a clean and properly barricaded work site and for the removal from the site and proper disposal of all waste material generated by the excavation. F. If the work requires the demolition of an existing concrete slab, the Contractor shall be required to remove and properly dispose of the concrete debris and waste. G. If the work requires closure of a roadway lane, the Contractor shall erect signage and any traffic control devices as required by the jurisdiction in which the work takes place. H. The Contractor shall restore the surrounding area to its previous condition and provide sod, topsoil, grass seed and any other required materials to accomplish the restoration. I. The Contractor shall ensure that each work site is cleaned upon completion of the concrete installation and site restoration.
