• Task 1 – Operate, optimize and maintain the four (4) existing Floating Aquatic Vegetative Tilling (FAVT) system located in the eastern Caloosahatchee Basin, Fisheating Creek Basin, L28i Basin and the North Feeder Canal basin. Provide comprehensive reports to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services detailing the methodology, processes and procedures employed by each location and the expected outcomes. Obtain site use approvals and maintain regulatory compliance requirements. • Task 2 - Monitor phosphorus load reductions resulting from implementation of Task 1. Provide Semi-Annual Reports to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services detailing the amount of phosphorus load reductions resulting from the deployment of the floating aquatic vegetative tilling technology at the existing operational treatment projects. • Task 3 - Create GIS data layers including the spatial representation of deployed floating aquatic vegetative tilling technology employed. Provide GIS data layers information to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services including the spatial representation of deployed floating aquatic vegetative tilling technology employed. Vendor must have past experience in designing and implementing innovative and sustainable stormwater quality improvement technologies including patented Floating Aquatic Vegetative Tilling (FAVT) systems. The FAVT technology includes pre-existing intellectual property represented and covered by and in three US Patents (7,074,330; 7,556,735; and 7,632,407 as well as other patents and patent applications (both allowed and pending) and related proprietary know-how and other intellectual property, including software and works of authorship. Vendor must have expertise and previous experience in evaluating waste water and surface water treatment technologies. Vendor must have strong capabilities and disciplines in surface water and waste treatment technologies, lake management, biogeochemistry of lake and wetland sediments, modeling of surface waters and ground water, use of chemical tracers to track pollutants and define hydraulic characteristics of water bodies and spatial landscape analysis. Vendor must have a diverse base of historical experience in sustainable environmental treatment technologies. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
