Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of New Hampshire is requesting proposals for the sale of ice cream, sherbet, sorbet, and novelty items for UNH Dining consisting of the UNH Dairy Bar*, UNH Conferences and Catering, two (2) UNH dining halls and three (3) retail locations (Wildcatessen, Union Court and Philbrook Café). It is estimated that UNH spends approximately $100,000.00 for these products annually, based on fiscal year 2023 figures (approximately $23,000.00 for tub ice cream and $77,000.00 for retail and novelty products). This information is an estimate only and actual contract purchase volume may differ. No guarantee of future usage is intended or implied. *The UNH Dairy Bar is a Three-Star Green Restaurant as certified by the Green Restaurant Association and seeks a bulk ice cream supplier that can further sustainability goals. Product Specifications - Appendix B: Section 1 - Tub Ice Cream Products: Provide pricing for products listed in 3-gallon tubs (unless otherwise specified by UNH). Appendix B: Section 2 – Novelty Items & Products for Resale: Provide pricing for all retail products (quarts, half gallons and novelty items as listed. (Example: Ice Cream Sandwiches, Nutty Buddies etc.), include alternate pricing for comparative products “Company Brand” (Example: Hood, Weeks, and Kemps etc.) vs. “Premium Brand” (Examples: Ben and Jerry’s, Haagen Daz etc.). • Other desirable options: o The ability to purchase any ice cream related item, not specifically listed in the request for proposal that is inventoried by the firm, at a cost consistent with contract pricing. o Twice yearly UNH Dining Services holds community events on campus (typically in September and May). The awarded novelty supplier should provide the means to distribute ice cream products at these events, at no charge to UNH. • All products must be available year-round, unless otherwise noted. • Pricing must be fixed for the initial contract term. • The supplier must agree to hold pricing constant for the duration of the initial contract term.
