Specifications include, but are not limited to: On January 5, 2024, the Maryland Thoroughbred Racetrack Operating Authority released a study titled “Report of The Maryland Thoroughbred Racetrack Authority”. Among a number of items, the Study recommends extensive renovations and improvements at the Pimlico Racing Facility in Baltimore. The renovations and improvements are identified in the Study as the “Pimlico Plus” model. Maryland Stadium Authority (the “MSA”) will manage and oversee the design and construction of the Project. The “Pimlico Option 2” concept as shown on page 66 of the Racing & Training Center Development Report – January 5, 2024 by Populous is the concept being developed. Through this Request for Proposals, MSA is seeking a highly qualified Construction Management firm to provide Preconstruction Services for this Project. The scope of work includes, without limitation, design and constructability reviews, logistics planning, cost estimating, and project scheduling.
