Specifications include, but are not limited to: BASE SCOPE: EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT Replace existing air handlers listed below with new. A total of three (3) existing air handlers will be removed, with three (3) new air handlers added. Refer to drawings for detailed information on demolition and new scope of work. Currently all building air handlers operate at constant volume with distributed reheat coils to create control zones for heating only. The goal of this project is to update these to a variable air volume system with VAV boxes to create zones. The VAV boxes and distribution ductwork are not a part of the base scope of this project. If only the base scope is accepted, new air handlers installed will be designed for use in the future with a variable volume system, but will be balanced to match existing constant volume airflows and operate with a simplified control sequence. Equipment List - Demolition • Demolish existing air handler AHU-1 • Demolish existing air handler AHU-2 • Demolish existing air handler AHU-5 • Demolish existing air handler RTU-8 (DX cooled unit in 3rd floor mechanical room) Equipment List – New Construction • Install new air handler AHU-1 in locating of existing AHU-1 o This air handling unit has an integrated enthalpy wheel for energy recovery • Install new air handler AHU-2 in locating of existing AHU-2 • Install ERV-2 to serve AHU-2 • Install new air handler AHU-5 in locating of existing RTU-8 Architectural scope is incidental, and limited only to cutting and patching as necessary to accommodate HVAC scope of work. No plumbing work is anticipated. Electrical scope related to air handlers 1, 2 and 5 is incidental only and limited to refeeding new equipment in existing locations.
