Specifications include, but are not limited to: A team of trained specialists, supplied by Vendor, in emergency ground ambulance billing and coding, as well as claims reimbursement and pre-collection services. Specific knowledge and capabilities of the team to include: Insurance coding including HCPCs codes, ICD-10 codes, and related modifiers. Payer research, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, liability coverage and worker’s compensation claims, as well as adherence to state and federal insurance requirements specific to these payer types. Demographics verification, including skip tracing capabilities where necessary to confirm patient identity. Submission of clean claims to insurance companies with little to no rejected/returned claims, utilizing Vendor’s own clearinghouse account. Assignment of Benefits and HIPAA signature requirement, as well as adherence to all HIPAA regulations including releasing PHI where appropriate on District’s behalf. Management of Ada County Paramedic’s VitalRide Membership program renewals, including sending renewal notices, receiving payments, processing membership adjustments to individual claims based on eligibility and date of service, as well as a data base to track memberships. Membership rates are subject to increase but are currently $75.00 for one year and $280.00 for five years. These are effective on the date of purchase through the end of the month for the term purchased.
