Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of New Bern is seeking the services of qualified firms for design, fabrication, and installation of a history wall at the new Stanley A. White Recreation Center. The history wall will be located on a corridor wall within the center. The dimensions of the history wall will be approximately 40’ L x 10’ T located at 601 3rd Avenue, New Bern, NC. The recreation center is named for Stanley Augustus White, who was athletic director for Cedar Street Recreation Center, also known as the Jasper G. Hayes Omega Center. Mr. White was a New Bern native, graduate of Hampton University, Army Veteran, and amazing athlete. He spent his life serving the community and contributing to the youth of Duffyfield and New Bern overall. The history and “story” of Stanley Augustus White and the Duffyfield area of New Bern are key to the recreation center and desired to be depicted by this history wall. Project Expectations • Design, fabricate, and install history wall onsite. • Provide multiple design layouts that show a variety of options. • Coordination, communication, and engagement with Advisory Board and gathering community input and feedback on history wall design. • Presentation of design.
