Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project scope includes the design and construction of an upgrade to the City of Biddeford’s (OWNER) FMI pump station located off of Morin Street. The existing station is a flooded suction drywell with an adjacent wet well that collects sewerage from Morin St and pumps it through a 4” FM to a valve pit, where it combines with a 6” force main from another pump station and is discharged through a 6” combined force main. The current station has a duplex pump system, each having an original design operating point of 200 gpm @ 36’ TDH powered by 3 phase 208/120 V electrical service. The OWNER is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to convert the station to submersible pumps with equivalent pumping capacity, replace the existing force main to the valve pit, valve structure and valves and fittings. The OWNERS shall provide a controls building with new controls, MCC, and electrical service. The OWNER is also requesting a lump sum cost from interested contractors to replace a force main at the SMMC Pump station located on West Cole Road and install a flow meter as an optional part of the project.
