Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected vendor will provide a Certified Pool Operator(s) to provide services to open and close the Bedford Town Pool complex. The pool opening/closing services will be scheduled through the Parks Department and should occur by May 28, 2024, for pool opening and September 15, 2024, for pool closing. At a minimum, the following services must be provided. Pool & Splash Pad Opening checklist: • Re-assemble pool systems, water features, pumps, filters and lifeguard towers on deck. • Remove freeze plugs and caps. • Review pool systems/mechanics for winter damage. • Start systems/equipment and adjust components as necessary. • Test and balance water with owner’s chemicals. • Review equipment operation. Pool & Splash Pad Closing checklist: • Disassemble Filter system – remove baskets & eyeball fittings. • Blow out and plug lines – add anti-freeze supplied by contractor. • Lower pool water. • Disassemble water features and lifeguard towers bring inside pool building.
