Specifications include, but are not limited to: The KESD is soliciting a Request for Proposal ("RFP") from experienced vendors to provide installation and testing of Cat 6A cable for Infrastructure Cabling and Wireless LAN upgrades. A. Category 6A Cable installations to support Infrastructure Cabling and Wireless Local Area Network 1. Install and label 160 category 6A cable drops from the Wiring Rack in Room 136 to the drop locations indicated on the attached Room/Drop Sheet and Building Floor Plan. 1. Drop List 2. Millers Run Floor Plan 3. Drop counts and locations in each Room are indicated on the Drop List and on the Floor Plan with a color and count key for location, position and number of drops 2. Ceiling drops 1. drop count at each location is one or two as indicated on sheet and map 2. must be as close to the center of the room without being within 12 inches of a ceiling light fixture. 3. Gym ceiling drops are located ¼ the length of the gym from each end. ● 12” x 12” Cage to cover each AP in Gym 4. Cabling must run above the ceiling without laying on the ceiling. 5. Non-Drop Ceilings require molding to the location with a Mounted Drop Box 6. Drop Ceiling drops must be mounted on or flush to surface of ceiling with faceplate accessible without lifting ceiling tiles 7. Drop Ceiling Alternate termination—provide Alternate Pricing to terminate locations above ceiling in a biscuit with a colored circle sticker marking location on Drop Ceiling Grid.
