Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goals/objectives of this Request for Proposals (RFP) are to award an operating agreement which will accomplish the following: • Cook, deliver, and portion the food for all inmates detained in the detention center. This generally ranges from 120 to 150+ inmates daily. • The menu to be provided is a dietician approved meal plan for correctional and detention facilities. The meals served are on a six-week rotation, allowing for a variety of options for the inmates. • Options for inmates with allergies and religious reason must be available. • This cost includes cooking and delivering food to the detention center and providing one staff member to work in the kitchen in the detention center from 0700 hours to 1700 hours each day. • BSB detention staff will notify the respondent of the number of inmates at the detention center both in writing (via vax) and by phone, if necessary. To ensure the correct number of meals is provided for each meal.
