Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall: 1. Conduct reviews of DCF’s substantiation determinations and petitions for expungement in accordance with 33 V.S.A. § 4916 and departmental rules, policies, and procedures, including: a. Perform reviews as scheduled by the CRRU and as required by the above law. b. Coordinate with CRRU administrative staff to determine the time and place of review meetings. While some reviews may occur virtually there is often a need for reviews to be conducted in-person. c. Coordinate with CRRU administrative staff and IT staff for technological support, as appropriate. d. Contact and interface with State staff, persons requesting a review (“grievant”), and other individuals as appropriate. This will include meeting with individuals who have been substantiated for child abuse or neglect. e. Complete reviews in a timely manner, including reviewing any documentation submitted by State and grievant. f. For substantiation reviews, send decision to CRRU staff for mailing to the grievant upon completion of the review. g. Consult with the DCF Commissioner or designee in making the final determination in expungement cases. h. Turn over to the State all information gathered and produced in the course of conducting reviews under this contract within 14 days of completing the review. i. Adhere to state policies and procedures, including those established for the CRRU.
