Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town intends to select an individual/firm to remove/relocate the house at 300 South River Road as determined to be in the Town's best interest. The property was purchased by the Town in 2023 as the proposed site of future municipal buildings. Existing on the site was a house and several outbuildings. Due to age and deteriorated condition, the outbuildings and portions of the house were removed in late 2023. The remaining building is believed to be the oldest portion of the house. In the interest of preserving the potentially historic structure, the Town is offering the remaining structure to the highest Purchaser who is willing to remove it from the property and potentially relocate it. Generally, the Purchaser will be expected to provide professional services including, but not limited to the removal/relocation of the house, proper maintenance, handling and disposal of all spoils material, obtaining the required insurance, permits and surety, maintaining a safe and secure work site and completing the work in accordance with the agreed upon schedule.
