Specifications include, but are not limited to: Metro needs to repair the jacksha� on one of the exis�ng, long term Cleaver Brooks boilers. Cleaver Brooks boiler number 2 needs to be upgraded from 1/2' obsolete jacksha� to 3/4' jacksha� which will fix the mix ra�o of air and gas and fix the flame failures on the boiler. Currently the air gas mixture is not correct due to binding and causing a heavy soot in the tubes. when soot is in the tubes the heat cannot be absorbed and the heat goes out the stack instead of the liquid absorbing the heat. These issues are from the linkages that need replaced and causing the issues. The jackshati on the existing unit is no longer available, so the system will need to be upgraded from a ½” unit to a ¾” jackshati set-up. As such, we are seeking original equipment Cleaver Brooks components and professional installation of the necessary components. The upgraded components must ensure proper working functionality, meet laws, state and local regulations, safety protocols, and ensure the equipment is safe. The upgraded components must contain and include the following considerations: • Meet or exceed current state and local safety standards. • Replace the existing inoperable and obsolete jackshati components and include needed upgrades to functoon properly. • Any fees or permits needed or required by the City of Omaha. • Project labor, material components, removal and installation of upgraded products, disposal of removed components, and any travel, meals, lodging, or mileage to perform the work. • Work being completed should take place during normal business hours.
