Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Provide pharmacy services to the Vermont Veterans Home nursing home and residential care facility that is compliant with CMS, Veterans Administration, and State of Vermont regulations and statutes for these facilities. 2.2 Provide 2 pyxis type machines to serve as the facility’s e-box. Successful bidder will be responsible for, at least weekly, filling of these machines. Regular auditing and maintenance of these e-boxes are the responsible for the contracted provider. 2.3 Provide, on demand, unit dose/blister packages for all prescribed medications, except for over the counter and IV medications. 2.4 Provide six (6) medication carts and three (3) treatment carts 2.5 Have a pre-established integration with PointClickCare to allow for electronic ordering of medications directly from the facility’s EMR program. The use of a separate/standalone online ordering system does not meet this requirement. 2.6 Ability to bill Medicare Part D, Veterans Administration and Vermont Medicaid, as appropriate, for medications and intravenous supplies. 2.7 Provide at least a daily routine delivery of medications 7 days per week. 2.8 Provide “stat” medications within 4 hours or less of being ordered. 2.9 Provide intravenous medications, supplies, and staff training. 2.10 Participate in Quarterly Medical Staff Meetings.
