Specifications include, but are not limited to: Milwaukee County, through its Airport Division (the “County”) is soliciting information, data, comments, and/or reactions from potential suppliers (the “Respondents”) of technology solutions to enhance security measures at pedestrian exit lanes leading from the two concourses at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (“MKE””). Currently, security guards are stationed at the exit lanes from the two concourses to monitor and ensure compliance with security protocols, while not allowing counterflow pedestrian traffic. Going forward, MKE is exploring the possibility of implementing technology-based solutions to replace the role of security guards in these areas. Exhibit A contains drawings of Concourse C and Concourse D Exit Lanes. The primary objective of this RFI is to gather information on automated pedestrian exit lane corridor systems or similar technology solutions that can enhance security, streamline operations, and improve the overall passenger experience at MKE. The RFI process is an information gathering tool and is not a competitive solicitation. If the County decides to issue a competitive solicitation (Request for Proposal or Bid) for commodities or services, such solicitation will be released separately and conducted in accordance with Milwaukee County procurement policies. If the County determines for any reason that a competitive solicitation is not required, the County reserves the right to contact one or more Respondents that responded to the RFI to obtain firm quote(s) or to negotiate a contract. Information gathered by the RFI process may be used by the County for any of the following: • To support County decision making about exit lane technology solutions and related topics. • To provide information sufficient for the County to determine whether a competitive solicitation process is required. • To assist the County in developing a list of potential suppliers. • To develop scope and requirements for a competitive solicitation. The County seeks a solution that: 1. Provides effective monitoring and control of passenger movement through exit lanes while they depart the concourses. 2. Ensures compliance with TSA regulations and Airport Security protocols. 3. Offers real-time detection and response capabilities to potential security threats or breaches. 4. Integrates seamlessly with existing airport security infrastructure and systems. 5. Minimizes operational disruptions and passenger inconvenience during implementation and ongoing use. Key requirements include but are not limited to the following features: 1. Automated exit lane corridor with barriers or gates to regulate passenger flow. 2. Advanced sensors or detection technologies to monitor passenger movement and detect unauthorized access. 3. Integration with airport security systems, including CCTV surveillance and access control. 4. User-friendly interface for airport staff to monitor and manage the system effectively. 5. Compliance with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines for airport security and fire code
