Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide grounds maintenance services at the following building(s): • Ada County Coroner’s Office, 95 North Touchmark Way, Meridian, ID 83642 • Trial Court Administration Building, 3220 Elder Street, Boise, ID 83705 ; MOWING SERVICE Weekly, starting approximately mid-March and ending approximately mid-November, as needed. 1. Lawn areas shall be mowed at the appropriate height and frequency to keep them looking neat at all times. Mowing height shall average approximately three (3) inches and shall vary depending on type of grass, turf surface, and time of season. Mowing height shall be raised slightly in summer and gradually lowered in the fall to prepare the turf for winter. Mowing direction shall be changed every week (as permitted by terrain) in accordance with sound horticultural practices. 2. Clippings may be left to disintegrate and return valuable nutrients to the soil. If clippings become clumped from wetness or delay in mowing, they shall be spread or removed to prevent unsightliness. Clippings shall be removed where they will be tracked onto sidewalks or building areas. 3. All grass around trees, retaining walls, fences, posts, and other areas where the mower cannot cut shall be trimmed to the level of the turf. 4. Special care shall be taken so as not to scalp the turf or damage any trees with the nylon line of the trimmer. 5. Edging shall be performed with a blade edger along concrete sidewalks and curbs. A line trimmer may be used, with prior approval, to edge pavers, if applicable, in order to mitigate damage to them. A clean, straight edge shall be maintained in a neat and consistent manner. 6. All clippings from edging shall be removed from the sidewalks and curb areas to maintain a clean appearance. 7. Debris from maintenance functions shall be removed from sidewalks, entrances, patios, and planting bed areas, and taken off the property. 8.
