Specifications include, but are not limited to: The General Contractor shall demolish the existing 2-story CMU apartment building including the building structure and foundations, the trash enclosure, on-site equipment, curbs and gutters, landscaping, yard structures and amenities, west fence and retaining wall with footings, north fence and gates, monument sign, and U.S.P.S. post office boxes. The existing asphalt is to remain in place for future parking. The General Contractor is responsible for the backfill of excavated voids, leveling, and stabilization of the site. There is currently a temporary construction fence at site entrance off Harmon Avenue that will be removed once the permanent fence is installed. There will be a new fence that is installed along the north side of the property. New fence and footings to match the configuration and height of the existing chain link fence. The Owner will salvage wheelstops, equipment, and furniture prior to the bid phase. Any wheelstops, equipment, or furniture remaining at the start of construction shall be removed and lawfully disposed of by the Contractor. All items left in units or by residents must be removed from the site and recycled or disposed of as construction waste.
