Specifications include, but are not limited to: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a state-wide digital equity strategy focused on addressing disparities in technology access, digital skills, and connectivity. Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners to align digital equity initiatives with broader state goals. Program Development and Implementation: Design, launch, and oversee digital equity programs that target underserved communities, including low-income households, rural areas, and marginalized populations. Coordinate with stakeholders to implement initiatives that provide access to devices, internet connectivity, and digital literacy training. Community Engagement: Work closely with community leaders, nonprofits, and educational institutions to understand the unique digital needs of diverse populations. Organize and participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about digital equity programs and engage communities in the initiatives. Grant and Funding Management: Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support digital equity programs. Develop grant proposals, manage funds, and ensure compliance with program objectives and reporting requirements. Data Analysis and Evaluation: Collect and analyze data on digital access, adoption, and usage to inform program development and assess impact. Establish evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital equity initiatives and make data-driven improvements. Policy Advocacy: Stay informed about state and federal policies related to digital equity and advocate for policies that promote equitable access to technology. Provide recommendations for legislative and regulatory changes to support digital inclusion efforts. The AmeriCorps Member(s) would be locally sourced and serve in the communities that they serve. The Members would serve for 11 months from September to August. They will provide a minimum of 1,700 hours of service to ND ITD during that term. ACC will assign two staff to support ITD. ACC will provide the Member with a $33,000 living stipend distributed once every two weeks in equal amounts. The Members will also be provided health insurance, including dental and vision care, childcare reimbursement (based on income), and an education award. ACC will provide each with multiple face-to-face and virtual training opportunities throughout their service term. ITD will provide the Member(s) a location to work, equipment as needed, and a direct supervisor (Brian Newby, ITD Broadband Program Director).
