NDSU is looking to enter into a contract with a supplier of BULK LIQUID NITROGEN to maintain the supply in the customer-owned LN2 Tank located at 1805 NDSU Research Park Drive and the customer-owned tank located at 1311 Albrecht Blvd. The following are requirements or preferred elements of the contract: Purity specification of liquid nitrogen Greater or equal to 99.998% purity <8ppm O2 content <5ppm moisture content Purity test report of initial delivery must be provided. Test reports of subsequent deliveries must be available when requested. Deliveries should typically be a semi load of LN2 at a time. If partial semi loads are delivered, any shipping charges should be appropriately pro-rated. Fittings on the refill ports will be the responsibility of the supplier to match what is required on the refilling trucks. Supplier shall provide a bulk tank liquid level monitoring system. The tank level must be able to be monitored by NDSU at both the tank location and remotely by login from a computer. It is duly stated that an uninterrupted LN2 supply to both locations is critical. Interruption to the supply due to an empty tank or other reasons could result in risk of fire and explosion in the buildings. NDSU shall be given a notification of at least 72 hours prior in the unlikely event that a potential supply outage is predicted. Supplier shall provide inspection and maintenance of customer-owned tanks. The Supplier shall provide prompt response, preferably within 1 hour, for troubleshooting and repair of leaks and other detected problems on customer-owned tanks. The proposal should provide details on the bidder’s plan to provide timely repair service. The Supplier shall identify a mitigation plan they would implement to supply nitrogen to the building in the event any major repairs need to be performed on the bulk supply and delivery system.
