Specifications include, but are not limited to: This contract is for the inspection of bridges on the INDOT system along with a few Local Bridges that will include but not be limited to those that are Complex (Lift Bridges and Cable-Stayed), Fracture Critical (NSTM), Border Bridges, Bridges with Pin and Hanger Connections, Bridges with Pin and Hinge Connections, Post Tensioned Concrete Box Girder Bridges, and Bridges with unique steel or concrete details/elements, or that may need Non-Destructive Testing. Inspections are anticipated to require a combination of ladders, rope climbing, and lift trucks to complete an arms-length inspection correctly. The Engineer/Inspector Team Leader and Team Members must demonstrate expertise through prior experience of inspection of similar structures. The Engineer/Inspector Team Leader will be a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana and must meet the criteria for Complex Bridge Inspection as defined in Section 1-1.04(06) of the Bridge Inspection Manual.
