Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Olathe, Kansas seeks qualification proposals from highly qualified design-build teams interested in providing comprehensive programming, planning, design, and construction services for the construction of a new shooting range complex for the City of Olathe Police Department. The City of Olathe, in a partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is planning for the design and construction of a shooting range complex to serve the training needs of the Olathe Police Department and the FBI. The project is anticipated to include multiple outdoor shooting ranges and site planning for live-fire and sim-fire training shoot houses. This project will also include the planning, design, and construction of all site utilities and site improvements necessary for this project, as well as programming and concept development of the indoor shooting range facility. Subject to funding availability, the project may also include the complete planning, design, and construction of the indoor shooting range facility. This shooting range complex will be for law enforcement training purposes. The City seeks design-build teams with highly qualified personnel with extensive experience and expertise having previously provided full-service programming, planning, design, and construction services for state of the art indoor and outdoor shooting range facilities for local, state, and federal agencies, with scope and purpose similar to this project. Additionally, the City seeks a design-build team comprised of firms and personnel with proven work experience delivering projects utilizing the design-build delivery method.
