Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Scope: This specification covers the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s requirements for a 25-Ton Tag-Along Equipment trailer. 2. Requirements: General: All new current production equipment. All Manufactures standard equipment for the make and model offered, not in conflict with the requirements of this specification must be furnished. 2.1 Capacity: Rated payload shall be at least 50,000 pounds 2.2 Deck: Deck length shall be a minimum of 24’ long with a 5’ beavertail section, deck width shall be 102” and flooring shall be constructed of 2” (+/- 0.25”) nominal oak planks. Deck height shall not exceed 35” when loaded, must be equipped with a minimum of 24 (12 per side) “D-ring” style tie downs. 2.3 Suspension: H9700 adjustable suspension, the first axle shall be air lift and air ride equipped, second and third may be spring ride. 2.4 Ramps: Shall be a minimum of 30” wide and 60” long and must be air actuated. Must have oak planking of 2” (+/- 0.25”) 2.5 Hitch and Landing Gear: Adjustable 3’ ID forged Pintle eye, Safety chains shall be constructed of at least ½” high test chain with equivalent hooks with latches. Landing gear shall be of a dual drop leg design equipped with a 2-speed mechanical jack. A lockable storage compartment with document holder should be included in the drawbar area. 2.6 Tires, rims and axles: Tires shall be a 235/75/17.5 of Radial design and must have a minimum 16-ply load rating.
