Specifications include, but are not limited to: replaces core business computer systems in order to improve customer service, meet anticipated growth, and enable WSI to remain current with technology. A phased, evolution implementation approach is being used whereby the application user interface is “re-faced” into a new web-based user interface while retaining the current database and business logic. Additionally, WSI has implemented an extranet portal (myWSI). myWSI is a secure portal for employers and medical providers (and eventually employees with a WSI workers’ compensation claim) to access, submit, and view user specific information related to WSI. The myWSI system has significant and complex integrations with CAPS, and the two systems are increasingly dependent upon each other. These integrations and dependencies require combined go-lives (production deployments) and intense coordination of activities amongst WSI staff and the vendor team.
