Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Meals prepared under this contract by the Vendor must comply with the meal pattern components and serving sizes as required in 7 CFR Part 226.20 of the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program). 3.2 Meals must meet or exceed U.S. Department of Agriculture requires meal pattern and serving size. 3.3 The Owners reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of meals ordered within 4 hour notice or less if mutually agreed upon. 3.4 Average daily meals is 11 with daily meals between 5-15. 3.5 Meals shall NOT include condiments, straws, napkins, single service ware, etc. 3.6 The Owners shall place orders for the day no later than 8:30 a.m. 3.7 The estimated quantity for contract term 2024/25 are: 3.7.1 Regular Meals – 1,920 3.7.2 Special (including—low calorie, no pork, no chocolate, low carb, lactose free) Meals - 672 3.7.3 Vegetarian Meals - 30 3.7.4 Pureed or mechanical soft meals can be made. 3.7.4.1 Vendor must be able to provide them if requested. 3.8 Fluid Milk is defined as “Must be unflavored low-fat (1%), unflavored fat-free (skim), or flavored fat-free (skim) milk for children six years old and older and adults. For adult participants, 6 ounces (weight) or 3/4 cup (volume) of yogurt may be used to meet the equivalent of 8 ounces of fluid milk once per day when yogurt is not served as the meat alternate in the same meal. Milk delivered hereunder shall conform to these specifications. 3.9 Owners may request sack lunches when a program is in the Community Integration outing for lunch. 3.9.1 A preliminary sack lunch count will be given by 8:00 a.m. of the preceding day 3.9.2 Average sack lunch count is between 8-15. 3.10 Meals shall be prepared and delivered fresh daily Monday through Friday to Easterday Recreation Center, 6130 Adams, Lincoln, NE.
