Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Elkhorn is seeking proposals from qualified firms for a comprehensive needs assessment of the Elkhorn Area Fire Department. The assessment shall identify the current state of the facility, identify deficiencies, and provide recommendations for improvements to the existing facility to meet current and future operational needs. If the analysis determines that the existing station can not be upgraded, renovated, or expanded to meet the required needs, the City is also seeking recommendations on possible locations for a new facility. The evaluation shall include cost estimates for each option considered by the firm, i.e. remodel of existing station or building a new facility.
