The STATE intends to procure and implement a modernized data system that includes a Student Information System (SIS) to establish an enterprise solution and reporting system that transforms the management of education data in North Dakota. The solution will provide a single source of student information and transformation by automating processes to ultimately allow teachers and administrators to focus more on North Dakota’s K12 vision and mission: “All students will graduate choice ready with the knowledge, skills, and disposition to be successful.” The primary objective is to optimize service delivery to students and educational entities by streamlining data processes and bolstering efficiency and efficacy in K12 information, data, and reporting. The K12 Data Modernization Project considers present requirements and future demands. The STATE recognizes the dynamic nature of technology and of educational needs and finds this project imperative to ensure continued success and progress. By reducing the amount of time, energy, and effort required to gather, organize, and report data, the STATE can help our teachers and administrators keep the main thing the main thing: educating North Dakota’s children.
