Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Existing Conditions: a. The building is served by (3) existing air-cooled chillers. 2. Project Requirements: a. Install one new replacement, owner furnished, air-cooled chiller completely. b. Provide temporary rental 300-ton chiller from July 15, 2024 through September 13, 2024 E. Alternate Bid Items: 1. Alternate definition: An amount proposed by bidders and sated on the Bid Form for certain work defined in the Bidding Requirements that may be added to or deducted from the base bid amount if Owner decides to accept a corresponding change either in the amount of construction to be completed or in the products, materials, equipment, systems, or installation methods described in the Contract Documents. a. Alternates described in this Section are part of the Work only if enumerated in the Agreement. b. The cost or credit for each alternate is the net addition to or deduction from the Contract Sum to incorporate alternate into the Work. No other adjustments are made to the Contract Sum. c. Alternate Descriptions: 1) Alternate No. 1: Provide chiller pump Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). 2) Alternate No. 2: Provide Cottonwood Screens for new chiller. d. Unit Pricing Description: 1) Provide Unit Price for one additional month of chiller rental service. The initial rental service of 3-months, delivery, set-up, connection, and removal of the rental chiller shall be included in the base bid.
