Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2. The buyer agrees to purchase from the contractor its sodium bisulfite solution at a concentration of 38 to 42 percent active chemical, to be transport delivered during the period of this contract, subject to the conditions and agreement contained herein. 3. The estimated quantity will be 4,000 - 8,000 gallons per month of sodium bisulfite. 4. The contractor will protect the City against any increase in the price of sodium bisulfite. 5. Whenever contractor is unable to ship within 48 hours after receipt of order, the City reserves the right to order Sodium Bisulfite from another vendor. Any difference in cost shall be charged to the vendor in default. 6. The contractor agrees that the purchaser shall be allowed to sample the sodium bisulfite solution before discharging contents. It is understood that samples will be taken directly from the tanker truck and analyzed immediately by the City, using a hydrometer for specific gravity. If the concentration falls below the specified percent of the sodium bisulfite, the buyer, at his option, may reject any such shipment or require a deduction from the delivered price. 7. The City reserves the right to cancel any unfilled portion of the contract, providing in the opinion of the Chief Engineer, the services or material supplied by the contractor are unsatisfactory or not consistent with the terms of the contract. 8. The contractor shall provide the necessary hoses and fittings that are required to pump the sodium bisulfite from the tanker truck to the plant’s receiving port in accordance with all Federal, state and local safety regulations.
