Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work shall consist of clearing, sorting, separating, and removing any and all eligible debris from properties including street right of ways, roads, and waterways. Work shall include: 1) examining and sorting debris to determine whether or not debris is eligible; 2) loading and sorting the debris; 3) hauling the eligible debris to an approved Debris Reduction Site. Ineligible Debris: Contractor may be required to collect and haul to a disposal site. Contractor shall notify KYTC immediately to obtain approval before collecting and hauling any ineligible debris.; The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, machines, tools, and equipment, and incidentals necessary to process, reduce, and dispose of disaster related eligible debris. The Contractor shall give KYTC forty-eight (48) hours written notice prior to any debris reduction activity at any one stockpile of debris at each DMS. Reduction of debris shall be accomplished at Disposal Management Site(s) (DMS) through compaction, mulching, chipping, grinding, or recycling. Burning may be allowed at some DMS assuming all applicable permits are obtained are obtained by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for final disposition of all whole, reduced, or recycled debris at an approved waste site, landfill, and/or recycling center. The Contractor shall be responsible for conducting reduction and disposal operations in accordance with requirements established by the Federal Government Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Contractor shall identify the end-use of all debris removed from the DMS and final disposition locations. The end use and final locations must be approved by the EPA, KYTC, and the Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) prior to disposal.; Upon completion of the debris reduction processes and haul out to Final Disposal Site(s) (FDS), the Contractor shall clear the site of all debris and restore the site to the satisfaction of KYTC. This contract includes a per acre payment for site restoration after all eligible and ineligible (if any) debris is removed and disposed of at FDS. All debris shall be removed, and each site will have site restoration and will be seeded as required by Section 211 and 212 of the most current Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Standard Specifications. Documentation and Recovery Process: Contractor will provide the following in addition to debris removal: # Maintain documentation of recovery process # Provide daily and weekly written records and oral status as requested by KYTC # Review documentation for accuracy and quantity
