The South Dakota Department of Social Services Division of Child Protection Services is seeking requests for proposals from licensed clinicians and organization(s) who meet South Dakota Medicaid qualifications as a Medicaid Provider for the purpose of conducting assessments of youth who are candidates for or already placed in a QRTP in accordance with the federal Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA). Coverage for the entire state, including rural and reservation areas must be assured; if unable to cover the entire state, indicate in response the specific area(s) which can be covered with detail down to the county level. Telehealth is a strong option for delivery of services. The provider can utilize the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS), or propose other comparable age-appropriate, evidence-based, validated, functional assessment tool. Selected provider(s) must be a current or become a South Dakota Medicaid service provider, and meet timeline requirements as further outlined in the RFP.
