Specifications include, but are not limited to: El Rio Health periodically must review all critical and high-cost vendor products. Over time older and out of date machines must be replaced to keep up with advancements in healthcare technology and the desire to provide the most innovative and comprehensive care to our patients. Business needs and priorities also adjust over time. El Rio Health has 35 EKG machines currently in service, in fourteen health centers spread out over the greater Tucson area. As these EKG machines come to their technical end of life, either due to age or the unavailability of parts, El Rio Health is seeking information regarding the current standard in EKG technology relating to interpretation capabilities, accuracy, sensitivity and specificity, signal quality, compatibility, patient safety, cost, durability, and technical support among other things. El Rio Health will need to replace the 35 EKG machines currently in use as well as purchase additional machines to keep up with health center growth and patient services. The targeted replacement is scheduled for 2025, with an exact date to be determined based on information received from this RFI. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain the best-suited solution for El Rio Health and its Health Centers. There are certain criteria that must be considered and adhered to when determining costs and feasibility to meet the needs of this project. Submittal to this RFI allows El Rio Health to share submitted information with providers and other medical staff who will be using the equipment daily.
