Specifications include, but are not limited to: Wall Preparation The walls must be prepped in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. MECA will not specify specific products to be used; however, Bidders must provide product specification sheets with proposals. Scuff sand wall prep may be necessary in certain areas. Adhesion test to be performed as needed. For bidding purposes, please include pricing for this work on the Attachment A Proposal Form. A section has been included for bidders to list any materials (with unit prices), as well as hourly labor rate for this work. Removal of Furniture, Artwork and Switch Plates and Light Fixtures MECA will remove or move furniture to the center of the room, remove artwork, electrical switch plates and light fixtures from all areas to receive paint prior to the commencement of work and replace when work is completed. Protection of Surrounding Surfaces Bidder is responsible to protect adjacent surfaces, including baseboards, floors and ceilings. Any tape used must be painters’ tape or other type product that does not leave a sticky residue. Bidder is responsible to repair any areas impacted by their protection method or lack thereof.
