Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected firm?s personnel shall work under an INDOT Area Engineer and a Project Engineer or their designee. INDOT will control the hours and staffing of these personnel who may be required to work up to 16 hours per day, nights, and possibly during the winter season. The selected firm?s personnel will be subject to layoffs based on project staffing needs, at INDOT?s discretion. The selected firm shall provide inspection personnel local, if possible, to the project such that neither lodging nor subsistence expenses will be incurred for inspection activities. The selected firm shall furnish all construction field testing equipment necessary to sample and test materials in accordance with INDOT procedures. The Letter of Interest (LOI) must demonstrate the firm?s success on contracts of this type, magnitude and construction duration. The Letter of Interest (LOI) must specify the names of the project engineers, supervisors, and inspectors who will be supplying the services on this construction contract. These individuals will be rated on the scoring form in the Project Manager category. Also, a map showing the locations of these personnel must be provided in the LOI. Personnel identified in the LOI who not full-time employees at the time of the LOI submittal, shall be identified with explanations of employment status. The LOI must identify the specific subject area certifications that personnel have obtained through the INDOT Certified Technician Program (CTP) unless the personnel are exempt. Information on this program can be found at http://www.in.gov/indot/2403.htm. INDOT will not reimburse for any time or expense incurred in obtaining certifications at any time. The selected consultants fee proposal shall be due 15 calendar days after the selection date for this RFP item. INDOT does not allow consultants that performed design to be the prime consultant for inspection and does not allow these consultants to provide the PE/S service.
