The Workforce Development Council is responsible for implementing the Idaho LAUNCH program; providing up to $8,000 in grant funds for postsecondary education/training. The Legislature passed H 741 during the 2024 session which adapts the in-demand career definition to include factors in addition to job openings (previously the definition of in-demand careers) to create a matrix of careers and training programs that increase economic mobility for the people of Idaho. Understanding what value education and training credentials provide in a quantitative manner is key to developing the matrix and the WDC needs to engage a consultant for this work. WDC staff do not have the level of expertise, the access to data, or the time to conduct this project without support. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
