Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Operational Excellence: a. Ensuring seamless operation of Hooksett’s networked computer system, equipment, and related infrastructure across five separate buildings. b. Responsibilities encompass installation, maintenance, and administrative duties as defined by town staff, including, but not limited to: i. Installation: Physically or virtually placing and setting up hardware, peripherals, and network technology at designated town locations. ii. Maintenance: Keeping endpoints functional via proactive updates, repair, and network connectivity upkeep. iii. Administration: Managing backend town systems, user management, connectivity, software suites, threat tracking, and security infrastructure maintenance. 2. Service Offerings: a. Services include: i. Installation, maintenance, and administration of endpoints infrastructure for main service centers. ii. Management of associated endpoint technology and peripherals. iii. Maintenance and administration of LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, modems, and firewalls. iv. Installation and management of software, upgrades, and patches, including antivirus, backup software, Microsoft Office products, and departmental applications. v. Provision of general or emergency IT support during business hours and beyond. vi. Collaboration with third-party providers for updates and network privileges. vii. Work with the town’s phone service provider to maintain the phone system. viii. Assistance with user and network access management. ix. Support for Right-to-Know requests and website management. x. Procurement assistance for new hardware. 3. Strategic Planning and Management: a. Facilitation of strategic planning and management of IT systems. b. Provide recommendations for budget planning. c. Activities include maintaining equipment inventory, documentation, making recommendations for system improvement, advising on projects and capacity building, providing updates and reports, engineering, project management, collaborating with IT planners, and maintain secure system passwords.
