Specifications include, but are not limited to: The consultant will provide the City with a comprehensive illustrated manual of design guidelines for residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings in Biddeford. This manual will be provided both electronically (editable MSWord) and as two printed, bound copies. The project shall be conducted according to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology and Historic Preservation. The design guidelines manual shall include, but not limited to: 1. Introduction - Information including purpose and goals of the guidelines, district identification, and executive summary. 2. Brief history of Biddeford’s historical development Summary of development patterns in Biddeford, including significant properties and periods of significance for each district/landmark. Identification of character defining features of each district/landmark, including street and road patterns, lot configuration, building-to-building and building-to-lot relationships, building types and styles, building materials, features and details, building uses, landscape features, and streetscape features. 3.
