Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Brookhaven is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for a curedin-place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of the corrugated metal pipe (CMP) Low Water Drain (LWD) at Murphey Candler Lake Dam for the Department of Public Works. The contractor must selfperform tasks constituting a minimum of (50%) of the value of the contract. Work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents: Agreement, Drawings (100% Construction Plan for: Murphey Candler Lake Park Dam CMP Spillway and Riser Repair, Permit #MS23-00094, dated February 15, 2024), Special Technical Specifications (Specifications for Murphey Candler Dam CIPP Rehabilitation for City of Brookhaven, August 2023), Special Details, City of Brookhaven Standard Details, Georgia Department of Transportation’s Standard Drawings, Standard Specifications, and Pay Items Index as the standards for the construction and completion of the work required, except as noted or directed by Engineer. Scope The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to complete the required construction as described in its entirety to the specification directed and the terms of this contract including all incidentals as directed by the City of Brookhaven Director of Public Works or his representative. Unless otherwise specified in the Contract Documents, all work shall be completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications (current edition), by the completion date. The LWD is located near the bottom of the earthen dam in Murphey Candler Lake, and, as such, dewatering of the work area will be required to be maintained for the duration of the work. A CIPP solution has been designed for the LWD and additional downstream CMP segment(s). All erosion & sediment control practices must be installed, inspected on a daily basis, and maintained to prevent the discharge of sediment from the construction area into downstream areas throughout the duration of the project. Dam & Spillway Maintenance / Repair: In addition to the repairs to the low water drain, other maintenance activities around the spillway will be completed by the selected Contractor.
