Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the contract is to provide guardrail material for County use, based on pickup at the Vendor’s location. There is an additional pricing section for delivery, if needed, to the location listed below. There is also a category that will allow a MoDOT-approved contractor to install guardrail for the County on an as-needed basis. For guardrail material supply only – Contract shall be based on net price resulting from percentage discount from specified price lists. Do not use chain discounts; show one discount only. Current price lists will be required to be provided the County when requested. For guardrail material supply and installation – During the term of this Contract, the County may, at times, wish to utilize an “on-call” contractor to supply and install guardrail to current standards, or repair damaged guardrail. Any said work done under this Contract shall be assigned to the vendor(s) on an as-needed basis, determined by the County. There is no guarantee that any installation will be done by the vendor(s); work will depend on need as well as availability of funds. Vendor is instructed to contact Cecil Vivrett at 636-797-5427 regarding any and all questions concerning this contract. All materials shall conform to the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction-Section 1040, latest edition, and should also be on the current Missouri Department of Transportation Pre-Approved Product list for Roadside Hardware. Materials shall be tagged and labeled. All bolts, nuts, washers, and other miscellaneous parts shall be individually bagged and labeled. The individual bags may be shipped in barrels, but loose bolts, nuts, etc. in the barrels are not acceptable. The supplier shall inventory each shipment prior to shipping to help insure the completeness of each order. Bids are for materials and shipping only.
