Specifications include, but are not limited to: four (4) roadways (two roads each phase), removal of the existing pavement, preparation of the sub-grade and base, installation of vertical curb, installation of concrete valley gutters, installation of a double layered Chip Seal , or as an alternate, placement of 3-inch of asphaltic concrete pavement over 6-inches of Aggregate Base Course in accordance with MAG Standard Specifications and Details as shown on the design plans. The contractor will grade and compact the subgrade prior to placement of new asphalt or chip seal to the slopes shown on the plans... The chip seal considered in the base bid would be per MAG Standard 330 and would consist of two layers with the top layer being coated chips. The pavement installation alternate would consist of ¾ -inch asphalt in accordance with MAG Standard Specification 710. All new asphalt will be installed in accordance with MAG standard 321. Excavation and removal of material necessary to install the pavement and its associated base material are to be included in the alternate bid item for each phase.; Prior to the preparation of the subgrade for each phase, a waterline project specific to the phase will be accomplished. On Tally Ho (Phase 1), east of Sunset Trail, approximately 54 Lineal Feet of 6-inch ductile iron water pipe be installed to reconnect an existing area of the water system. The work will include the relocation of an existing fire hydrant assembly and the reconnection of two exiting meters with new 1” service lines. On Tandem Drive (Phase 2), west of Sunset Trail, a new 6-ich water line (492 LF) will be installed. The new 6-inch main will connect to an existing 6-inch water main in Sunset Trail and terminate at a fire hydrant assembly on the western end of the street. New 1” water services will be connected to the existing water meters and the new pipe once it has been put into service.; The combined areas to be graded and surfaced with curb and gutter on the north side of the roadway(s) will be Tally Ho Drives both east and west of Sunset Trail (Phase 1) and Tandem Drive (Phase 2), both east and west of Sunset Trail. The eastern portion of Talley Ho will connect to Carriage Drive to the southeast. These areas of construction total approximately 6570 Square Yards. Between the two phases, there will be a total of approximately 2,294 lineal feet of MAG Standard Detail 220-1, Type A curb and gutter, 3,675 square feet of MAG Standard Detail 240 Valley Gutter, and 56 lineal feet of MAG Standard Detail 552 Concrete Ford crossing with cutoff walls included in the project. The two streets will be bid separately as different phases. The Town may decide to award either or both phases as a part of this contract.
