The University of Maine System (UMS) sought to evaluate, select, and procure a web conferencing solution that would be uniformly available and supported for all faculty, students, and staff. Additionally, the preferred solution will integrate well with our existing networking, hardware, and software infrastructure. UMS is also looking for web conferencing tools that can support the variety of use cases present throughout the system, including those related to course delivery via a variety of modalities and physical infrastructure. Other areas that should be supported include meeting spaces, conferences, and events. The University consists of a diverse, distributed community that exists in person, remotely, and many places in between. Solutions should be able to present options to meet these various needs.
