Specifications include, but are not limited to: SAMTD is seeking qualified Contractors to provide a tire program for the Salem Area Mass Transit District (SAMTD) fixed route, ADA paratransit bus fleet, and support vehicles. The Contractor shall supply all tires for buses and support vehicles and shall furnish a sufficient amount at a maximum level determined by Contractor of each size and type tire to keep all buses fully equipped and to maintain enough spares to insure uninterrupted service. SAMTD requires all tires, and any approved equals, to be covered under this contract. It is the responsibility of the contractor to furnish tires that fit SAMTD's fleet of vehicles without requiring vehicle modification or adjustment. SAMTD will use tire chains, cables or socks as required during the winter months.
