Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall grind the yard waste and screen such that the material/mulch is ground into acceptable size chips as designated by the Water Pollution Control Superintendent or his designee. The City recommends that the screen on the grinder shall be three (3) inches on the up and down stroke for grinding the yard waste material. The compost mix specifications state the compost should be: 30% fines 40% < 2 inch 30% < 3 inch; SCREENS: Contractor to supply 2”, 3”, 4” & 7” screens. Screens to be used will be determined by a City representative based on the material to be ground. Contractor will be required to submit a report of finished product in cubic yards for each site once the job is completed.
